Meridia Verify runs on EUDR v1.12, sharper deforestation detection, a more reliable protected areas source for Ivory Coast, and more nuanced risk results.
Here's what's changing
1. Improved deforestation maps
DEF04 (coffee origins) now uses an improved methodology that correctly captures timber plantations. DEF01 (public maps, for origins outside Space Intelligence coverage) is refreshed with the newest public deforestation data.
Result: more accurate assessments across the platform.
2. A more reliable protected areas layer for Ivory Coast
We've updated our protected areas reference for Ivory Coast to MINEF's official government maps, giving you a stronger, more authoritative legal source. You'll still see the same risk scoring and contextual detail you're used to.
3. More granular risk scoring
For all origins, we've introduced a Medium Risk tier, giving you a clearer read on limited, non-critical deforestation overlap. Low Risk means zero overlap; the Critical threshold is unchanged.
4. Smarter geopoint assessment
Geopoints now get a buffer based on reported farm size, instead of being assessed as a single coordinate, giving a fuller picture of deforestation risk around geopoint-based plots.
