DCF v1.0 is now officially live for customers in Verify.

This release marks a major milestone for Meridia. DCF v1.0 is our first customer-ready solution for assessing farm-level compliance with deforestation and conversion-free commitments, giving companies a robust, practical way to operationalise sustainability targets with far greater precision and confidence.

What DCF v1.0 delivers

DCF v1.0 has been designed to give sustainability and compliance teams greater control, transparency, and precision when assessing deforestation and land-use risks at farm level.

Data Quality suite

Before any deforestation or conversion testing begins, DCF v1.0 subjects your farm plot data to 30 automated quality checks, verifying spatial precision, geometry integrity, and attribute completeness to ensure reliable assessment outcome, based on accurate, high-fidelity information.

Coverage across 10 origins

DCF v1.0 is live for the following origins:

  • Albania
  • Brazil
  • Egypt
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Madagascar
  • Mexico
  • Turkey
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

Additional coverage for China and Australia is already in progress.

Flexible cut-off dates

Users can choose between 2015 or 2020 cut-off dates, allowing assessments to align with different corporate commitments, frameworks, or customer requirements.

Deforestation and conversion testing

Run deforestation-only checks, or expand the scope to include broader ecosystem conversion, depending on how your policies define acceptable land use.

Deep legality checks for Brazil

DCF v1.0 includes Brazil-specific legality tests, such as environmental embargoes and forced labour registers, enabling more nuanced and locally relevant risk assessments.

Built on recognised frameworks and market initiatives

The DCF methodology is aligned with widely recognised international standards and market initiatives, ensuring that results can be applied across multiple sustainability commitments and disclosure contexts.

This includes alignment with frameworks and initiatives such as:

  • Accountability Framework initiative (AFi)
  • Proforest framework
  • Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
  • Consumer Goods Forum (CGF)
  • Amazon Soy Moratorium Agreement
  • WWF–Brazil DCF guidelines

Why this matters

Deforestation and conversion-free commitments are only as strong as the evidence behind them.

With DCF v1.0, organisations can:

  • Assess compliance at farm level, not just at aggregate or country level

  • Apply results consistently across multiple frameworks and customer expectations

  • Adapt assessments to different policy scopes and customer expectations

  • Strengthen credibility in reporting, audits, and stakeholder engagement

By bringing deforestation and conversion-free testing directly into Verify, DCF v1.0 helps teams move from commitments on paper to defensible, data-backed implementation.
